Golden Code Development Announces Run Time Environment and Software
Development Kit for the JavaTM 2 Platform,

Beta 2 of J2SE 1.4.1 for OS/2 Now Available, Sun Certified as Java

May 19, 2003 - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - Golden Code Development today
announced it has begun shipping to select customers the Beta 2 version of its
Java
TM 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE
TM platform) release 1.4.1
port to OS/2. In 2002, Golden Code Development entered into agreements with
Sun Microsystems to become a Java technology licensee, allowing it to
certify and to commercially distribute its port of this technology to OS/2
customers. The commencement of the beta program culminates many months of
development and testing effort to ensure compliance with the J2SE 1.4.1
specification. Beta 1 began shipping to select customers March 25, 2003.
With this release, the Golden Code offering remains the only licensed and
certified, Java compatible environment for J2SE release 1.4.1, available for
OS/2.
